How That Lincoln Life Changed My Life Forever
Lincoln University introduced me to one of the greatest human beings on our wonderful planet. My Wife! Telene Lassiter-Shipley c/o 1997.
27 years, two children and lot's of life between us, we are still rockin this thing called LOVE. I still think I am one of the luckiest Brothas alive.
Who would have thought I would have met my best friend, wife and mother of my children in a illegal party at the bottom of Houston Hall? I remember I was DJ'ing and I took a "Session" break to go smoke with...And there she was looking like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming car.
She was a Freshman and I was an "Older" sophomore and I felt obligated to make sure she was ok, as I was a gentleman, LOL.
An hour later I found myself walking her back to her dorm "Hansberry" and her having me wait outside as she went to go get her jacket. I waited 5 min, 10 min, 15 min and I thought this Sistah just played my ass!!!
Just as I was about to bounce, she came back outside and we talked and talked and then she was ready to go back to her room , so of course I tried to get a kiss and all I got was her hand...like beat it dude.
So as I laughed it off, I said to her..."Yo come check me, I live in Freddie D 4th Floor room 411, like information...She looked at me like if you don't get the *uck away from me with that corny shit...LOL
To this day she brings up how corny I was....
